Immersion Experience

In the Appoquinimink School District, the culminating experience of work-based learning, workforce readiness preparation, and career pathway coursework, is a 50-hour (minimum) immersion alongside industry professionals who serve as mentors. Students may commence their immersion experience as early as the summer leading to senior year of high school. Therefore, students are encouraged to seek-out and secure their immersion experience and industry mentor toward the end of junior year.

INFoRMATIONAL VIDEO

Our Annual Work-Based Learning Info Night was held on March 1, 2023 to help juniors and their families prepare for their Senior-Year Immersion Experience.
